Hi Jordan,

a few years ago I also decided to use Access. It was a very good idea and my
database is growing every week. There are not only my lots registered in it,
but also the literature and many of the type specimens incl. photos of my
lots, the types and also of maps to see the location. But if you have no
experience with Access you will do a lot of mistakes, e.g. put all the data
in only one table. If youŽll do it correctly, you have to use at least one
table for the family, one table for the genus, one table for the species and
another table for the lots. And if you have to put in another lot, then you
can choose the family, genus and species for your lot by combination of the
tables. It is not easy to explain in a few words. If youŽll attend an Access
database course youŽll manage it successfully, if you donŽt do, it will be a
frustrating work. Then it will be much easier to use Excel instead.

Hope, youŽll manage it

Manfred
