It is highly recommended to note the nomenclature rules.
The name Turbo argyrostomus, LINNAEUS 1758, Systema naturae, 10 ed., p. 764,
no. 544, is according to Article 32 (Internationale Code of Zoological
Nomeclature) the "correct original spelling" and to be "preserved unaltered"
(until on few here not applicable exceptions, that in Art. 32.5 are named).
Any later spelling of a name which differs from the correct original
spelling is "incorrect".

OK, I don't usually ask about this but...

Is it Turbo argyrostoma or argyrostomus? T. chrysostoma or -stomus?

I seem to remember that -stoma is already masculine. That would explain why
Abbott uses -stoma endings. Other sources including OBIS use -stomus.
