Good choice! I did a little surfing. Go to www.tnc.org -- a good site. There
are offices all over and they seem to have a good business sense and understand
the principles of rational land management.

You can put your donation into local/regional things, I think. $25, good
magazine, and a tote bag for new folks. (I never got one, sniff.)

Good luck, Sarah.

Where can I get more info as to joining NC. I am a member of Audobon and
various conservation organizations in MD for the Chesapeake bay and I would
like to join NC. This group sounds like it is a good group that doesn't waste
money donated to preserve the environment and I would like to join in and lend
my support.
