Re: Thailand and freshwater snails

I know virtually nothing about non-marine mollusks so would like to ask if
it is safe to venture into Asian fresh water where there are snails that
might be vectors for schistosomiasis?

Also, if I were going to Thailand for shells I would contact Tom Rice who
now lives, and publishes Of Sea and Shore, from there.
