Just one of those magical moments in Malacology:

In 1963, Tucker Abbott was in Phuket, Thailand, waiting to join the R/V 'Anton Bruun' for a cruise. On February 19, he and Frank Crider went out to a tin dredger and got some shells, including an odd Fusinus that then languished under an incorrect identification in the ANSP collections for the next 45 years. Marty Snyder and I described it as Fusinus stannum in the Venus, in February, 2008.

One month later, Abbott was dredging on the 'Anton Bruun' off Phuket and brought up some shells, including an odd buccinid that then languished under an incorrect identification in the ANSP collections for the next 45 years. Koen Fraussen described this as Phaenomenella mokenorum in The Veliger, on 11 March 2008 - one month after Fusinus stannum....
