Usually your paleo micro slides will have associated ordinary glass slides and metal holders which keep the glass in place and protect the label.  Some of them are pre-glued (on the black paper bottom) so that  a damp specimen (generally a foraminiferan or something else about 1mm or less) will stick, but can be removed by wetting it.  Some have circular compartments for one or a few specimens, some have numbered spaces for many different specimens from one sample lot.  Note that you are limited to the thickness of the cardboard as you don't want to crush your specimen with the glass.
