Liguus solidus lineatus Simpson is a subjective senior synonym of L.
fasciatus simpsoni; however, it is unavailable due to being a junior
homonym. Many subspecific names, especially those that are relatively
obvious Latin descriptors, are homonyms, sometimes even within a
single work. Sorting them out can be quite a mess.

Speaking of junior and senior, does anyone happen to know why
Zeacumantus estuarinus (Tate, 1893) is considered valid over Z.
lawleyanus (Crosse, 1863)?
