we all know about the shell museums displays on sanibel, but i just
discovered something else...at the Sanibel public library Elsie Malone'a
Collection - or at least a good chunk of it- is on display. fully labeled
with data and a history about her and her collection.

also, in the same entryway area there is a display of fossil shells which
were apparently unearthed while the library was being built.

worth checking out especially if its raining, or (as it is now) high tide.
