    And wasn't there an earlier D used for Doneghela (or something
strangely like that) in Georgia before the civil war? I know CC was
the Carson City mint that processed a lot of the gold and silver that
came out of the Eastern side of the Sierras. I think it was mostly
silver from the Comstock load.
