Dear Jim,
I no longer dive off Destin, northwest Florida...but if you ever can
get over this way, you will find alot of dive boats and some excellent
diving...in anywhere from 70 feet of water, 2-3 miles off shore to 150+ feet,
7 miles offshore...we have alot of reefs [really hard bottom between the sand
dunes with some live coral] and quite a few man-made reefs. Give it a
try...it will never be as good as it was in the "good old days" when I could
count most of the serious divers on both hands and one foot!...but times do
change and you can't relive the past...but I am told my several of my local
diver/suppliers that the diving is still pretty good!
Sincerely,
Edward T. Schelling
