I was hoping a real computer geek would answer, but looks like you will
have to do with me.  As I understand it there are two basic formats for
e-mail, HTML (like web pages) and normal.  I think Ross must use the
HTML and thus all of the colors in his messages.  Unfortunately some
systems cannot read this format.  So there is an answer, might be right
or it might be wrong.  If it is wrong we will soon find out.
 
More importantly, what is the solution?  I don't know other than using a
web browser like Netscape for mail.
