Dear Doug;-
     What you saw in Mobile was only half of the Flying pigs. That's
because when they finally arrive en masse, they are seen to be flying
in an "X" formation rather than a "V". One other way to identify a
true flying pig as distinct from other swine is this species (Porkus
aeronauticus Weil, 1997)  have no knuckles.
