Hello all

I have only just seen the correspondence regarding Conus terminus - I both
bought and found several at Tulear, Southern Madagascar, a few years ago.
They are very distinctive, with a violet tone - quite abeautiful shell
I haven't got Walls' book with me here, but I remember thinking when I saw
it that his Conus gubernator is not the same at all. There are several
species where he seems to differ from everyone else.

Incidentally, I bought one by accident from a Cebu shell dealer, who told me
it came from the Philippines - I'm sure it doesn't

Regards

Richard Parker
