Dears,
I think the best revision of the genus Chicoreus is by ROLAND HOUART "The genus
Chicoreus and related genera (Gastropoda: Muricidae) in the Indo-West Pacific",
1992, Memoires du Museum National D'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, Serie A,
ZOOLOGIE, Tome 154, 188 pages, figs. 484.
For Chicoreus (Triplex) torrefactus (Sowerby 1841) he refers to the Neotypus
designated by HOUART & PAIN, 1982, type locality MNHN, Paris.
For Chicoreus (Triplex) microphyllus (LAMARCK 1826) he designates a lectotypus.
This work is very useful for studies to systematics in Muricidae.
Greetings
Gert
