A recent issue of the magazine "GSA [Geological Society of America] Today"
brought a one-page review of "Science and Creationism", a book published by
the National Academy of Sciences to update and revise its 1984 statement on
the topics of evolution and creationism theory. In the book, NAS states
unequivocally that creationism has no place in any science curriculum at
any level. If you want to learn more about the National Academy of Sciences
book and other publications, check their web site at www.nas.edu. National
Academy of Sciences President Bruce Alberts remarked in the book that
"Scientists, like many others, are touched with awe at the order and
complexity of nature. Indeed, many scientists are deeply religious. But
science and religion occupy two separate realms of human experience.
Demanding that they combined detracts from the glory of each."
