        Yes.  Good luck on this.  The famous French P. Bouchet tackled this off and on for around 20 years,
and, according to what i heard (admittedly perhaps apocryphal (ok, so call the spelling police!)),
he one day just threw up his hands and gave up - they are a complete nightmare!!  But it is almost
certain that they remain over-named: for instance, i refuse to believe that there are 60 valid spp
in Eastern Canada, out of a total shell-bearing mollucan fauna of less than 500 species.  On the
other hand, fron the material i've already seen in Turridae, there may indeed be 60 or more spp of
these (on the shelf alone!!), at least a dozen or so which have not been reported before, and 5 or 6 undescribed.
