There are a trillion video capture programs for the Mac, some of which are
now old enough to be shareware or even freeware. Try one of the various Mac
freeware/shareware specialists on the Internet. Some Macs have a video card
built in, others will need one fitting. The bad news is that the CCD in
even the best video camera is not up to decent photography, so the image
you will get will be useful only for reference or attaching to e-mails for
identification by others. Within those parameters, however, a video camera
can be a useful device.
