Hi all,
I suspect that just about everyone on this list has a garage-full of
seashells, in addition to the special collections that we hold so dear. I
would give thought to possibly donating the common or bulk lots to public
schools. Everyone is in agreement that more young people need to get
involved in appreciating and preserving our marine life. Even if the shells
are only used for craft projects, their beauty will inspire and delight!
There is nothing sadder to me than going to an estate/yard sale and seeing a
lifetime of carefull collecting jammed into bottles and jars for a dollar a
holler(though I have personally collected some great shells that way)!
Joni
