Dear all Conchler's

In a recent Conch-L posting, I read there was only one true Acmaea
species on the Pacific coast. However, my finger hit the delete button too
quickly and I lost it forever. What is the current status of Acmaea on the
Atlantic coast? I have Acmaea testudinalis from New England. Is this really
an Acmaea or is a Lottia species? What are the differences between the two
genera?

Thanks in advance,
Patrick
