Actually, there is no shell club in Tampa, but there is one in Clearwater
and St. Petersburg (we belong to both).

I live in Miami and the closes clubs are The Greater Miami Shell Club and
The Broward Shell Club. Mark "ferreter" Betheke is always on line and is a
respected member of both clubs. He can supply info on location and club
dues.
GMSC is having a show Superbowl weekend in Jan.'2000 and Broward's is the
first weekend in Feb.'2000. Tonight is Broward's meeting and I believe
Miami's is the 4th Tuesday(?). Again check with Mark.
There are other Floridian clubs in Sarasota, Ft Myers, Tampa, St Pete,
Orlando, Melbourne, and St Lucie. This is THE state for clubing! It seems
most collectors have mutiple memberships so you must pick and choose wisely.
Also Florida seems to have the BEST selection of shell dealers to buy from.
Collecting here is great! Im still looking for my first 5 inch Cypraea
cervus and Conus granulatus. Maybe one day.
