Dear all, need a bit more help, as usual. I have an horny
operc to a Thais that I collected, but I accidently let it dry out, and
it got "bent" and curly on the edges. Now, I want to somehow soften this
so I can get it straight again.
Is there anything in particular that I should use? Oil, water? I would
greatly appreciate
any help.

Use a solution of Glycerol in alcohol (ethanol) about 1:1 and "paint" the
operculum with the solution. When the operculum looks dry, paint it again,
and repeat that a few times. It will become less brittle and you can try to
get it staigt by laying it under under a book for some time.
