Your description certainly suggests that your shell is not Conus terebra, and
it sounds like Conus consors might be a good possibility, though in my
experience C. consors usually has a rounded rather than angulate shoulder,
and a fairly straight-sided, rather than concave spire.  Have you compared
Conus ochroleucus?
