Ross, BRAVO! And thank you for just 'doing it'. You see, I didn't know
how but just knew someone else would!
Check out the website http://hostalibrary.org/. This was set up by a member
of hostapix who lives in Iowa. I can give you his e-mail privately - I
don't think I should put it out on the list here. The group actually had an
auction of hostas (donated) to pay for the site and raised excessive monies
for years to come and Bob will make a CD of the library for members who want
it. I think this is a way to RAISE INTEREST in shells by making the photos
accessible on the internet. I for one don't live near any 'shell clubs', so
this list is my only source of information and encouragement. Kay

Subject: Re: images & Fancy Website Construction.

Looks like the shell images site idea has caught on! By Sunday, the
images sent in so far will be up and running. I will not announce them
on the list - this will be up to the posters. To avoid really long
downloads, try to keep your image sizes to 60k and under, if possible.

It would be really great if a way could be found to make the site
"automatic" - a page created for each image, with the data given by the
poster along the bottom of the image. Does anyone out there in
Conclland have access to the expertise (will require some fancy CGI
script work, perhaps a Java aplet or two....) to do this??

Finally chilly in Canada (but no snow!!),
Ross.
