Actually, the photos at that particular location were excellent, they just
weren't the views that I need. Since I'm dealing with fossils, color and
shine are irrelevant. I have to go by the shape of the specimens only.

You have a great site.

Well, John, it depends on what you mean by "... didn't find
much."

Perhaps you didn't find the article about a living example
of a "nucleus-granulata" 'throwback' that is in the Archive
Site of THE CAPTURED COWRY.

I submitted the article after finding a living specimen
(video taped, too!) on a night dive. You'll find the
item at http://www.geocities.com/~makuabob/NSN369CY.HTM#B

An image of the living, extended "nucleus-granulata"
animal is in my CAPTURED COWRY site at
http://www.oaktree.net/makuabob/TAXONOM0.HTM

The original color images have replaced the monochromatic
versions actually published. Additionally, I've included,
near the end of the article, a "3D-stereo" set of images
of the two cowries. It's a chance to put to use all the
practice gained by trying to 'see' the "3-D" images in the
Sunday comics.

Happy hunting!
