Hi Helmut, and others who can't extract the private addresses
of senders from messages:

As has been mentioned before, the address of the sender of
a message is always included in message, even if your e-mail
program does not display it. For most, you can simply click
"Forward" or "Reply," and the private e-mail address will show
up on the new e-mail, even if you could not see it otherwise.
Then you can click on the address or "cut-and-paste" to send
to the sender only.

For those who can't make this work, and don't want to download
a list of addresses of all the list members from the server, you
may try this. As the messages are archived, the address of the
sender is displayed at the top of the messages. Sometimes
this is very shortly after the message is sent, sometimes as
much as a day or two later. In any case, you may see these
addresses soon after they are sent by going here:

http://museum.nhm.uga.edu/CONCH-L/hypermail/date.html

and clicking on the e-mail of the person you are interested in
contacting. That will save additional messages to the list
asking for private addresses.

Cheers,

Don (and Eduardo Moreira, who is a Samoan this week)
