Dear Bob,

I have inserted answers (short version) mostly from Vaught (1989) for
expedience; for accuracy you might want to go to Tom Watters (at least on
the Annulariidae, 6 and 7):

At 11:14 PM 6/29/00 -0400, you wrote:

separate families, both employed.

>2. Is the genus Acrophaedusa a synonym of Oospira?
yes

>3. Is Caucasica a subgenus of Elia?
yes

>4. Is Chloritis a synonym of Tricheulota?
yes; but your Chloritis Semper, 1877 is not available (homonym of Chloritis
Beck, 1837)

>5. Is Buliminopsis a synonym of Pseuobuliminus?
yes

>6. Is Choanopoma a subgenus of Annularia.
no; synonym.

>7. Is Chondrothyretes a synonym of Chondrothyra?
yes

>8. What family is Cochlorina in?
Orthalicidae. Cochlodina is in the Clausiliidae.

>9. Who is the author for Anguispira alternata smithi?
Walker, 1928; no parentheses. Synonymized with A. mordax (Shuttleworth,
1852) by Hubricht (1985).
