I have vacationed on Sanibel Island for many years. The beaches are all
public! Most of the accommodations are condos but there are a few hotels.
Again, beach access is for everyone. I still look for that "rare junonia" ,
strolling up and down the island. Don't really know if shelling is better on
the western end of the island. A Sanibel native would know that. You just
never know what you will pick up along the beach. Summer storms can wash
ashore "beauties". Enjoy Sanibel.
