Dear Q-Man and followers,

Hurricanes can be rewarding sometimes, and sometimes not. The last storm that
came through last year, I found, on my favorite beach:

1. Piles of turtle grass
2. Three crab traps
3. Thirteen full size (20') uprooted Sabal palm trees
4. A large moon jellyfish
5. The front part of a small boat
6. A football helmet

Thats about it. Sometimes a day or two later stuff comes in, not always. All
depends. The first couple of storms, I went the next day, to see the beach
completely washed clean. One storm about two years ago washed a ton of stuff
up. Once in a while some good shells come in that are attached to bottom
debris. I found an old tire once that was loaded with all kinds of species
stuck on it, and in it.
I seem to have the best luck during the winter, when a cold snap comes with
a strong wind.
Maybe I am visiting the wrong beach.
