Hi Frank,

I was not sure exactly what results I would get when I bought my first
scanner, but I was very impressed with a $79.00 HP ScanJet 3200C. The only
piece of advice I had, was a saved Conch-L post that Tom Eichhorst posted,
that stated "Leave the scanner lid off and scan at night." So, with no
further knowledge on how to scan, I plugged it in, waited til nightfall, and
wha-lah.

See my photopoint site, all shells and photos were scanned with this cheapie,
and I think it did real well. View at:

This has been a lot of fun for me, as well as educational. Not quite the
setup Ross Gundersen has, but with the Schubbe Budget, it will do just fine.
