The specimen from the top is NOT squamosa. It is an interesting species,
known by more than one name from Westafrican coasts (including at least
Canary Islands where it is quite probably associated for feeding aims to
the orange coral Dendrophyllia ramea). It has been recently rediscovered in
the Mediterranean where the very Monterosato found specimens at his time
(Sicily).
My friend Italo Nofroni has deeply investigated its taxonomy, found the
possibly most correct name and promised some time ago he was going to
publish the results.
