Yes, it's C. fornicata I am looking at. I wonder whether other Crepidula
species do likewise.

I know that C. fornicata can be mobile and I'm not sure whether this
scalloping might be somewhat of a disadvantage in forcing them to stay
immobile. Of course, they take passive transport when live Argopectens swim.
