I have a specimen labeled Mirapecten thaanumi. As usual, various
references seem to disagree on the validity of that name. I have found
references to Mirapecten mirificus thaanumi and Chlamys thaanumi.

Is thaanumi considered a species or is it a subspecies of mirificus?

My references place Chlamys and Mirapecten in different subfamilies,
Chlamydinae and Pectininae, respectively. Which is the correct genus
for thaanumi?

I know we have some Pecten experts on the list. I would appreciate your
assistance.
