SCUM is an informal association of southern California professional,

and/or interested in research on mollusks. The purpose of the annual
gathering is to facilitate contact and keep one another informed of
research activities and opportunities. There are no dues, no officers, and
no publications. All persons interested in Recent and/or fossil mollusks
are invited to attend. Presentations and discussions are encouraged but
should be informal and briefly cover research interests. Slide projectors
and laptop computers with PowerPoint facilities will be available.

Aquarium auditorium, San Pedro, CA. From the Harbor Freeway south (I-110)
exit at Harbor Blvd. and turn right (south). At 6th St. turn right (west)
to Pacific Ave. and turn left (south). Take Pacific Ave. to 36th St. which
becomes Stephen White Dr. Turn left at Stephen White Dr. to the Cabrillo
Beach parking lot and follow the signs to the SCUM meeting (see map nos.

will conclude at 2:30 PM and staff from the aquarium will conduct a tide
pool walk at 3:00 PM for those interested.
