As cowrie experts know, some C. fultoni's have a granulated surface whereas
some others have a smooth one. I am wondering what causes this difference?
Does a granulated surface means the shell has a lower grading compared to a
shining one or is it possible to have a "granulated" gem?

Best regards,

Cuneyt
