This week while walking one of the local grass beds I came across a 13"
Horse Conch shell (Pleuroploca gigantea). I have never personally found
such a large specimen myself so I wish to clean it up for display. However
it is completely incrusted with barnacles. What is the best method to clean
the shell? I've already resigned myself to the fact that there will be some
damage to the shell due to all the barnacles. Thank you,

CS
