Perhaps so, I have only cleaned X. conchyliophora from the Caribbean. However,
I have some other species in my collection which have had attachments fall off,
both rocks and shells.

Maybe the species of Xeno makes a difference. The ones I've collect
were conchyliophora, which are among the sturdier species. Pallidula
and the like have delicate shells and likely their attachments are more
delicate?
