Spondylus is in a similar situation to Angaria. Very variable shells.
Few species. Lots of synonyms. Don't ask me which Spondylus species
are synonyms of which, though... Angaria is perhaps easier, with only
3 living species (delphinus, sphaerula & possibly javanicus).
