Dear Andrews,

I have already sent you images of the two sinistral conch I have in my
collection. I request you to kindly send me the identification of the
second conch (a smaller one). Cost of sinistral type of conch (Indian)
i.e. having three or more ridges inside the lip portion is approx. US 15$
to US 25 $ per gram. Due to its high cost there are many fake conch in
the market. Ofcourse, it can be identified by expert's eye very easily. I
tried to take X-ray images of few of the conch of my collection by using
normal digital X-ray machine commonly used for medical purpose, however,
could not take good images. My radiologist told me to try High Energy or
Industrial X-Ray. I would like to know, does any body have idea about the
type of X-Ray machine used to take beautiful images of variety of Conch ?
This may help authentification of rare conch varieties.
