Thanks!  The images were done on my scanner and the background is the one I
use for my nerite images as it seems to offer sufficient contrast.  While
not as dramatic as black, it always shows off the shell while black
sometimes bleeds into darker portions and although it works well for many
shells, it doesn't seem too good for nerites.

Both shells are obviously T. martinii, but heir differences are quite
something - and much more than a picture can indicate.  Held in the hand,
one feels like a thin, light land snail why the other is thick and heavy,
like T curta.  Environmentally driven differences or actual subspecies?
Held in the hand it is hard to believe they are even the same species.  Then
again, I work with nerites and I can show differences in size, structure,
color, and pattern - all in a single species!
