Conch-Lers,

Here is another request for information I just received. If anyone can
help, please respond directly to Marianne at: [log in to unmask] I do not
think there are too many Brachidontes species, maybe a couple of dozen?
Thanks,

Tom E.

Dear Sir,
I am a master student from the University of the
Philippines. I would like to inquire how many species
of mussels comprising the genus Brachidontes
worldwide. I will use the information for my MS thesis
next semester. Please recommend me a good reference
book on the taxonomic classification of Brachidontes.
You can send pdf files in my yahoo address:
[log in to unmask] or a hard copy at the University
of the Philippines, College of Fisheries and Ocean
Sciences, 5023 Miag-ao, Iloilo Philippines.
Sincerely yours,
Marianne C. Hubilla
