I can send a list of spp of marine shell bearing molluscs from Cape Cod
to as far north as i could find reference or material for (81 degrees
north - Axel Heiburg Shelf sponge reef material - what an amazing
under-ice ecosysterm!!!), if you like, although it is taxonomic mainly,
and does not contain ranges - but i can point you towards the
appropriate literature and make some "observational corrections" if you
would like this info as well.

Speaking of "lists", does anyone know how American Seashells Edition
III is proceeding? Haven't heard much about it for a while. The
Pacific coast, with the great bivalve monograph, and McLean's nicely
coming along work, is pretty well covered, but i think things north of
Florida in the Atlantic, are still pretty much in disarray in certain
families such as those pesky Turrids - any Bright Young Malacological
Students out there want a challenging thesis topic?

From the much warmer now-greening North,
Ross Mayhew.
