NOAA has satellite imagery of areas affected by hurricane Katrina on their
website now.
http://ngs.woc.noaa.gov/katrina/

Displaced college students are generously being taken in by schools across
the U.S., in some cases waiving academic records or tuition. If you are a
displaced student, the best advice is to contact a college or university
near your home or in your area of specialization without delay, so as to
continue your education without interruption.
