Friends,

The Philadelphia Shell Show takes place next weekend, October 8th and 9th. It promises to be bigger than ever, with 420 feet of exhibits and a greatly expanded art section featuring displays by many leading shell artists. There will be free shells for kids, tours of the Academy's vast collection in its new housing and a free lecture on Saturday evening entitled 'An evening with Tucker Abbott' by Cecelia Abbott.
A few tickets are still available for the banquet in Dinosaur Hall at the Academy on Saturday evening following the lecture, but the deadline for applications is this Wednesday, October 5th. Those who would like to attend can contact me by e-mail at [log in to unmask] to reserve a ticket, and then pick it up and pay at the club table during the show on Saturday.

See you in Philly,

Paul Callomon
