Thanks for your replies. The replies seems to be bringing out the contradiction I see in information from different sources. I am curious what the verdict is on the pictures I send, whether this is Epitonium fischeri or perhaps Epitonium tryoni.

   Although distinguishable, I would agree with Len Brown that E. fisheri and E. tryoni are pretty close and confusable. I think the key may be that a shell known only from DEEP water in one place is not likely to be found in SHALLOW water in another.  ---but what do I know.
