I found Conus kirkandersi in Cozumel in November 1991 on the South end of
Cozumel ….Live taken in sand patches in 5-10 feet of water.   Fairly common
dead.

 I can send you photo if you give me your personal e-mail addy.  Can’t send
photos to Conch-L.

 I’m VERY surprised you were able to collect on the island at all.
Collecting is pretty much banned on Cozumel.  I used to go there a couple of
times a year and have stopped since it has become so commercial.
