Hi Tim,

S. kleckhamae was placed in Dolomena by Cernohorsky when he described it in
Records of the Auckland Institute and Museum, Vol. 8, Dec. 1971 .

S. k. boholensis was described as a subspecies of kleckhamae and would
necessarily be in the same subgenus. The citation I have for this taxon is
Spixiana, Vol. 4, #3, pp. 319-324.

Berkhout and Kronenberg (Vita Marina, 1981) concur, as do Kreipl & Poppe
(Conchological Iconography, 1999).

Also note that a recent article by Visser & Man in't Veld (Gloria Maris, Vol
44 (3-4) pp. 55-68) retains the S. marginatus complex in Dolomena, although
Willan had placed these species to Labiostrombus.

I am making no judgements, only pointing to the work of others.

Winston Barney
