I highly recommend Avril Bourquin's pages:

http://www.manandmollusc.net/

There is a wealth of information in these pages.  I just used some of
it in a Powerpoint presentation to our shell club.  Avril was fully
acknowledged and a paper containing the URL was handed to those
attending, who were urged to explore her pages.
