I really enjoyed reading the journal account from Bohol. It
is easy for people to misunderstand the difficulty of actually
collecting the shells, or the excitement of finding different
species, even those consided "common" to the buyers. It is
that much more exciting to find something new or unusual,
of course, or to get to watch your little trochid launch himself
from the sand, track the movements of a Strombus colony,
or watch how the different species interact. You also noted
that the habitats for many of the species is very specific, with
each having its own niche, which is exactly what I've observed.
It is a dream of many collectors to get to live the life that you
are living, I suspect. Thanks for sharing it.
