Hi, I'm searching for information about albinism within shellpopulations.
Did any of you did scientific research on this item?
What could be a trigger within shellpopulations to have more or less
genetical disorder causing albinism?
Why some species have more individuals tending towards albinism than
others?
What would statisticly be the ratio to have an albino individual within a
species?
When we talk about actual shellcollecting shouldn't we just refer to some
shells as a "white colored" specimen and not "albino" as you cannot
examine the animal itself?
Would a real albino individual have always a white shell...I'm not sure.
So many questions and so few answers....
Hope you can help me out on this matter.
