Ryosuke Kawamura was the founder of JCB, Japan's first credit card and now one of the biggest in the world, third only to Visa and Master. He was a major shell collector. He donated his collection to the National Science Museum in Tokyo, together with enough funds to curate and house it, and to produce a book about it (World Seashells of Rarity & Beauty). Nice bloke.

A newspaper is making a small article about shells and they asked me if I knew many famous
collectors. I remembered a few as Emperor Hiroito from Japan, Raymond Burr, Cleopatra (mentioned in
a few books) John DuPont, and Lauren Hutton. Does anyone knows any others? I know there is one
Sheik from Qatar but I can't find his name.
